Season 3: Episode 8 Lawrence Grey & Young Producers Group

Lawrence Grey is a lifelong musician, a dedicated educator, and a tireless proponent of music education in schools. Lawrence is the founder of YPG and serves as the head of curriculum development by designing innovative, engaging curricula that reflect the interests and lived experiences of students. With a Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition from New York University (NYU), a Masters Degree in Education from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), and as an Ableton Certified Trainer, Lawrence’s unique position singularly qualifies him to create curricula and lead a team of forward-thinking educators.

In this episode I ask Lawrence who his early musical influences were, how is became interested in music production, getting Young Producers Group off the ground, and how music production has impacted and changed the lives of the young people he has worked with.
